Barcelona Transfer News: Fichajes, a Spanish news website, claims that FC Barcelona is interested in signing forward Josip Juranovic. The 27-year-old Celtic defender is seen as a possible replacement for Diogo Dalot. He is not expected to leave Manchester United in the next season, by the Catalan giants.
Josip Juranovic has improved greatly since joining Celtic from Legia Warszawa last year. There was little fanfare for the Croatian defender throughout his time spent in his own country and Poland. The 2022 FIFA World Cup has seen a dramatic increase in his popularity, thanks in large part to the fact that he is now playing for Celtic.
The 27-year-old has had an excellent season with the club. Thus, contributing one goal and one assist in 15 games. In addition, Juranovic has been outstanding throughout the World Cup. His greatest effort came in the quarterfinals when Croatia faced Brazil. Barcelona is the latest team to express interest in signing the youngster after hearing about his accomplishments.
Barcelona will start looking for a new right back after Hector Bellerin’s lacklustre performances. After signing a one-year deal in the summer, the Spaniard was only ever going to be a stopgap measure. Although he used to play for Arsenal, the former defender hasn’t exactly impressed this year.

Therefore, Bellerin is not expected to re-sign with Barcelona. He will have to acquire a right-back for the next season. This has led to the Catalan club taking notice of several players, including Denzel Dumfries. However, Diogo Dalot is said to be Barcelona’s top transfer target for the 2023 summer.
The Portugal international is said to be a “impossible target” for the Blaugranas since he has no intention of leaving Manchester United. After his performance in the World Cup, Juranovic has emerged as a serious contender. Even so, Barcelona will have to fight off strong competition to sign the 27-year-old.
Chelsea, Manchester United, and West Ham United have all shown interest in the Croatian international. Therefore, Barcelona will have a tough time getting a clean shot against Juranovic in the next season. When the 27-year-old finally decides to quit Celtic, his next destination is anyone’s guess.
