The 26-year-old defender Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich will be available to Barcelona for only €15 million in 2023
Benjamin Pavard will reportedly be available to Barcelona at a bargain price during the next summer transfer window. The claim comes courtesy of the Spanish publication SPORT. This 26-year-old defender will be available for a bargain €15 million from Bayern Munich in the next offseason.
Over the last five years, Benjamin Pavard’s career has exploded. The Frenchman shot to fame when his country won the 2018 FIFA World Cup. And after moving to Bayern Munich from VfB Stuttgart in July 2019, he has kept up his winning ways.
Three Bundesliga championships and the UEFA Champions League have already been won by the 26-year-old. And Pavard has had a productive 2022–23 campaign so far, contributing four goals in 21 games. However, the player’s attitude problems have recently come under scrutiny. The player could only appear once in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. In spite of this, Pavard is still a sought-after commodity, with Barcelona showing particular interest.
Will Benjamin Pavard come to the Spotify Camp Nou next season?
The French player has said repeatedly that he wants to go for a fresh experience shortly. With just a year remaining on his contract, Bayern Munich may easily cash in on him during the summer transfer window. And next year, Barcelona can have him for just €15 million, which is sure to be tempting.
With Hector Bellerin’s inconsistency, Barcelona will want to add a right back to their roster this summer. After the Catalan giants failed to recruit their top targets, the Spaniard joined Spotify Camp Nou in August. Bellerin, though, has not distinguished himself so far and will most certainly go for good next season. And Barcelona now has a real chance of signing Pavard.
At his price, the 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist is a tempting prospect for Barcelona. The Catalan giants shouldn’t hesitate to spend €15 million to recruit the Frenchman, despite their financial difficulties.
According to recent rumours, Barcelona and Pavard have been in contact to negotiate a possible transfer. A summer transfer seems likely now that Bayern Munich is willing to sell him for €15 million.
